Dr. Escobar

We saw Dr. Escobar on November 13th. He is very pleased with how the girls are progressing. They also saw the occupational and physical therapists. The average score is between 85 and 120. For the occupational at their birth age they were at 75 and for their adjusted age they were at 95. For the physical at their birth age they were at 82 and for their adjusted age they were at 110. This is a 20 point increase from the first visit which is GREAT!!! We are to work with them on picking up small objects, like Gerber puffs, and also putting them in and out of a bowl or cup. Olivia's weight was 16.45 and Alana's was 19.40. I am so proud of both the girls. We don't have to go back for 6 months. Hopefully by then they will be even closer developmentally to their birth age. Alana still has her cough. I called Dr. Davis today because she is also still not eating the way she usually does. They said that sometimes it takes up to 6 weeks from the onset of symptoms for them to go away. Her stuffy nose is gone it is just the cough that is lingering. She suggested to raise the head of her bed, use the vaporizer during naps and bedtime, and give her cough medicine before bedtime. We are also to focus on the formula and not the baby food over the weekend. If she does not seem to be getting back to normal by Monday I am to call back and see what they think. Olivia is still attaching Alana every chance she gets. She is definitely going to be the dominate one. I will try to get some new pictures over the next few days.
