On October 1st the girls had a follow up appointment with the eye doctor. He said that their retinas looked great. Both girls are a little farsighted and have a little of astigmatism. Alana is a little worse than Olivia. He said it is nothing to be concerned about and that it is something he will just continue to watch. The worse case scenario is glasses. I told him I would take that no problem considering all of the other horrible things that could have happen due to the girls being premature. He said that was a good attitude to have. I asked how long until we would know and he said it could be in the next several months or by pre-school age. We go back again in July for another check up. Alana is also getting her third tooth. It is the top left front. She is going to have a mouth full before we know it. Olivia still just has her bottom front two. They are both just so cute! It is fun to watch them play. They are really starting to play with each other. Olivia loves to tackle Alana. They are both always on the move. They are also sleeping about 12 hours every night. They go to bed between 8 pm and 9:30 pm and sleep until 8 am to 9 am. It is really nice. Due to the long hours of sleep at night they don't sleep much during the day anymore. They take 30 - 45 minute naps 3 - 4 times a day. We also just moved the girls into their room in their own beds on Monday October 6th. They were crowding each other out and daddy felt it was time the girls had their own room. It was really hard for me on Monday night. I almost went in and slept on their floor about three times and I did not get much sleep. Tuesday night was a little easier and I am sure it will continue to get better for me as time goes on.
